Meet Barry, the dynamic founder and CEO of WElink Group, enabling sustainable businesses to scale since 2007. What began as a spark has grown into a global business which has a strong culture of entrepreneurship and collaboration.
Before his WElink journey, Barry spent 13 years at DCC plc, where he was a Managing Director and board member in DCC’s Healthcare Division. There, he orchestrated operations and business development across Europe and Asia. Prior to this, he honed his craft at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Corporate Finance. Barry is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Master's in Business, both from University College Dublin, Ireland.
Barry embodies visionary leadership, turning dreams into action. His energy and positivity is infectious and keeps the team motivated to accomplish further.
Meet Ann, the people enthusiast who joined WElink in 2016 as Head of Human Resources.
Ann lead the people powerhouse at FTSE 100 giant DCC plc, serving as the Head of Group Human Resources for an impressive 16 years. At DCC, employment skyrocketed from 2,900 to 10,500, and revenues surged from £1.03 billion to £10.88 billion under her guidance, across 15 countries. Prior to this, Ann spent an incredible 23 years at IBM, in various senior management roles. Beyond her illustrious career, Ann holds a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics & Computer Science from Queens University, Belfast.
She's more than a seasoned executive; she brings life to the work environment and leads with empathy.
Meet Ado, a coach-style leader joined WElink as COO in 2023 bringing with him over three decades of experience driving success in high-growth environments.
He spent an impressive 27 years with Kerry Group plc and later joined Scandie Standard plc, for a dynamic three-year stint. At Kerry Group, Ado led diverse business units across various sectors and global territories, enabling remarkable transformations and growth. During his time at Kerry, the Foods business grew revenues to €1.3 billion while the Group's market capitalisation saw 30x growth.
Ado is an exceptional leader, applying his organisational skills and frameworks to keep the team focused on executing high-priority tasks for maximum impact.
Meet Shane, the seasoned executive who joined WElink in March 2017 and is now Head of Strategy Development, bringing substantial corporate credibility.
With 25 years at PwC Corporate Finance in Dublin, Shane was a pivotal figure in Irish market M&A and infrastructure transactions. During his tenure, Shane provided strategic guidance to various privately owned businesses across sectors such as healthcare, recruitment, construction, building materials, industrial products, and transport. His expertise extended into Project Finance and PPP projects, enhancing PwC's Irish profile. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Shane holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin.

Meet Ruprecht, the newest addition to the WElink team in 2023. With a stellar track record spanning 25 years, he takes the helm of structured and project finance opportunities, steering us toward financial success.
Ruprecht's journey is a testament to his financial prowess. He's navigated various finance and project finance roles, leaving his mark at institutions like DEPFA bank plc and Kommunalkredit Austria AG. His financial acumen is matched by his formal training as an economist and his prestigious CFA charter.

John embodies financial finesse, with seven years at Det Norske Veritas Germanischer Lloyd (DNV GL) Group, where he held the CFO mantle for GL and later for DNV GL Oil & Gas after the DNV and GL merger in 2013. He's steered corporate destinies at DNV GL, DCC plc, Georgia Pacific Inc, GSK plc, KPMG, and Shell Group plc. John isn't just a financial expert — he’s a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, has an Executive MBA from INSEAD, an MBA from Bradford University Management School, and a BSc in Psychology and Management from Imperial College, London.

Under his leadership, the market cap rose from £350 million to £1.35 billion in 2016. He executed a bold land investment strategy, acquiring 27,000 plots and doubling the consented land bank from 12,000 to 25,000 plots. David gained expertise during eight years at KPMG and holds a BA in economics and accounting with FCA qualifications.

WElink Energy is recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee all facets of project development for our opportunities in Africa, including design, engineering, procurement, supply chain, project management, construction activities, and commissioning.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned WElink projects, from pre-construction, construction, to the post-construction phases, ensuring timely completion, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations.The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for reporting on project progress and raising gaps in performance to WElink’s management and ensuring corrective measures.
